About the role

  • Software Engineer responsible for improving Adobe's CI/CD platform through design and operational excellence. Collaborates with teams to ensure scalable, cloud-native applications.

Responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to the design and development of the organization's next-generation CI/CD ecosystem.
  • Investigate and root-cause failures in containerized workflows deployed at scale.
  • Partner with other development teams to ensure applications are crafted to be cloud-native and scalable.
  • Perform day-to-day operational tasks such as upgrades and patching of platforms.
  • Supervise the health of the platform and applications using monitoring tools.
  • Handle tasks and projects with Agile methodologies.
  • Identify recurring issues and collaborate with the engineering team to propose fixes or automation.
  • Respond to and drive the resolution of high-priority production issues to minimize downtime.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to resolve and get to the bottom of root cause issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in container orchestration.

Requirements

  • B.Tech Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience working with Kubernetes.
  • Strong software development skills in Go Lang. Experience with Python or similar languages preferred.
  • Familiarity with the 12-factor principles and software development lifecycle.
  • Understanding of GIT Ops pipelines and debugging workflow failures. Experience with GitHub Actions is preferred.
  • Familiarity and expertise with modern build systems such as Bazel is preferred.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Argo CD, Workflows, Rollouts, Events and Deployments
  • Proficiency with Helm charts for managing Kubernetes applications.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and Docker, resource management, and solving issues.
  • Experienced with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms. (AWS / Azure certifications encouraged.)
  • Understanding of cloud network architectures (VNET/VPC/Nat Gateway/Envoy etc.)
  • Solid understanding of time-series monitoring tools (such as Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator and/or Developer/Security certifications encouraged.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to trace issues across distributed systems and containerized microservices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with and assist internal engineering customers.
