About the role
- Buyer for electronic components at aconnic, managing procurement processes and supplier relations in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct price negotiations, contract discussions and delivery schedule arrangements with suppliers
- Oversee procurement of materials across all component groups and ensure optimal inventory levels
- Review and approve purchase orders and manage supplier communications, including supplier evaluation and selection
- Lead a team of up to 10 buyers and purchasing clerks
- Promote a cooperative and efficient working environment
- Drive continuous improvement through regular performance reviews and market analyses
- Conduct annual negotiations with key suppliers to secure favourable terms
- Ensure long-term, sustainable supplier relationships and monitor market trends with respect to price developments and new products
- Provide strategic input on inventory management, product substitution and sell-off strategies
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in procurement
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Proven experience purchasing electronic components
- Degree or equivalent qualification/training in business administration, electronics or a related field
- Strong affinity for technical processes and products
- Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and verbal
- Strategic thinker with strong planning and organisational skills
- Flexible and willing to travel for business, with approximately 10% travel expected
