About the role
- Lead procurement strategy for Aluminium and Paper categories at Amcor, focusing on innovation, cost optimization, and sustainability within the North America region.
Responsibilities
- Lead the company’s procurement strategy to strengthen competitive advantage across AFNA Operations, plants, and business units.
- Oversee key procurement categories, including Aluminium and Paper, driving measurable value through cost optimization, innovation, quality enhancement, service excellence, and risk management.
- Deliver sustainable business results by building and expanding procurement’s strategic contribution to the organization.
- Champion procurement priorities in Innovation and Simplification by enabling and sourcing innovative solutions, while standardizing and consolidating supply strategies across the AFNA business to improve efficiency and long-term value creation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a scientific/technical field.
- Strong preference for CIPS or equivalent professional procurement qualification.
- Minimum 7+ years of procurement experience or 5+ years in a management role (e.g., plant management or similar functions).
- Proven leadership experience within multi-country, multinational, and matrix organizations.
- Extensive background in commercial management, change management, category management, cross-functional team leadership, and senior-level stakeholder influencing.
- In-depth industry knowledge and market insights within the Paper and Aluminium sectors.
