- compile and evaluate process or product designs and test data
- design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems, equipment, and sustaining activities for Infrared Detector packaging operations
- evaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products or processes
- specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services
- provide technical expertise and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
- interact with technical management, other professionals, technicians, and support personnel to coordinate, recommend, and confer regarding technical activities and progress
- support and participate in technical activity
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Ceramics Engineering field with 0-2+ years applicable engineering experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret clearance, which requires US citizenship
- Knowledge of solvent clean and wet etch applications
- Experience with semiconductor packaging practices and processes
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret GD&T
- Proficiency with electronic instruments and test equipment
- Familiarity with analytical methods; ability to follow a DOE precisely and make sound decisions when deviations are identified
