About the role
- Engineering intern in the Water Business Line working on projects for water resources and sustainability. Involves planning, designing, and conducting fieldwork for water treatment and management.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating, planning, and designing projects for water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment and conveyance.
- Assessing, developing, and supporting the management of sustainability and resilience projects.
- Conducting field site visits, collecting samples, performing water quality analyses, evaluating technologies, and gathering plant operations information.
- Troubleshooting processes and optimizing operations.
- Supporting asset management projects by conducting data analytics, operational assessments, and condition assessments.
Requirements
- Pursuing a BS in Chemical, Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering, or another closely related academic discipline.
- Prior internship or coursework in water/wastewater, water resources, or related sectors.
- EIT certification.
- Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and work ethic
- The initiative and ability to take on new projects and other challenges regularly.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
