About the role

  • Vice President, Project Manager in Business Transformation supporting key initiatives at Morgan Stanley. Managing program execution and collaboration across cross-functional teams in the financial services sector.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program management and delivery support for key business initiatives.
  • Coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams with a focus on program planning, readiness planning and program execution.
  • Work in a matrix reporting structure with all functional disciplines impacted by transformation deliverables.
  • Contribute to strategy to implement short and long initiatives along a structured plan.
  • Identify and propose solutions to risk issues and new business initiatives.
  • Translate strategy into actionable plans with defined ownership and roles/responsibilities.
  • Create a governance structure for managing complex activities.
  • Build and maintain a firm-wide delivery roadmap.
  • Provide transparency and reporting to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Monitor remediation of any potential risks or issues.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6-8 years of professional experience in project management, product development, business management, or management consulting in the financial services industry, ideally Wealth Management.
  • BS/BA degree required. Advanced degrees a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage delivery/execution of a wide range of tasks and initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Proven experience developing partnerships with and successfully coordinating across various business and functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams where there is no direct reporting chain.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, including ability to create polished PowerPoint presentations for various levels of management.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
