About the role

  • Provide technical accounting support and advice to internal teams, helping understand complex accounting issues and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with internal and external audits across all regions providing necessary documentation and explanations
  • Support and give advice on existing and future acquisitions, ensuring correct accounting treatment and taxation adherence
  • Act as a strategic business partner to regional and global finance teams to ensure timely, accurate, and audit-compliant financial reporting (e.g. IFRS, US GAAP)
  • Lead the review and validation of financial records and reports to ensure compliance with country-specific statutory requirements and corporate policies
  • Oversee preparation and submission of financial statements and ensure alignment with accounting standards and external audit requirements
  • Provide technical accounting leadership during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring accurate consolidation and integration into group reporting
  • Offer expert guidance on revenue recognition, especially for subscription-based business models and invoicing mechanisms
  • Support balance sheet integrity by leading reviews, reconciliations, and maintaining robust support schedules
  • Manage interactions with external auditors, tax advisors and internal audit teams to resolve identified issues
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and strong governance in financial reporting
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing reporting team to foster technical excellence and cross-functional collaboration

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
  • 5-8 years of experience in audit
  • CFA, CIMA or other relevant financial qualifications (beneficial)
  • Experience in private equity companies or private equity-backed companies (beneficial)
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking
  • Strong commercial mindset with experience engaging senior stakeholders
  • Problem solving and process improvement skills
  • Strong technological proficiency with data analytics and understanding of audit technology implications
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint and Word
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • In depth regulatory knowledge and compliance expertise
