About the role

  • Apply technical expertise to review increasingly complex tax returns to support team members in meeting client expectations
  • Use a well-developed understanding of client businesses to help diagnose opportunities and suggest solutions
  • Plan, organize, and control multiple responsibilities and resources to meet assignment objectives
  • Manage assignment budgets, anticipate and communicate budget issues, identify opportunities to improve assignment profitability, prepare billings, and assist in cash collections
  • Share and transfer knowledge with team members
  • Provide Associates and Seniors with guidance, coaching, and support in career development and area of specialty
  • Build long-term relationships with clients, gaining trust and respect based on a demonstrated understanding of their business and ability to help achieve improvement goals
  • Apply new approaches to proposal development and effectively manage resources contributing to proposal initiatives
  • Keep informed of recruitment needs and use external peer network and relationships to refer potential candidates
  • Write and publish articles with the research and assistance of Associates and Senior Associates

Requirements

  • CPA required
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant professional standards, emerging laws and regulations, and corporate governance requirements
  • Ability to present ideas with confidence and act as a subject matter expert, communicating concepts to clients and staff clearly and concisely
  • Excellent management, team building and organizational skills
  • Successful management of multiple responsibilities in the face of competing priorities
  • Strong sense of ownership and personal accountability
  • Produce high-quality work under deadlines
  • Particular attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
