About the role

  • Ensuring tax compliance: Independently prepare and timely file corporate income tax and trade tax returns, as well as other relevant tax filings (e.g., electronic balance sheet/E-Bilanz) for our German entities. Review and assess tax assessments for accuracy and completeness.
  • Communication with tax authorities: Act as the central point of contact for all tax inquiries and audits by the tax authorities. Coordinate the provision of required documents and ensure professional and efficient communication.
  • Tax reporting and collaboration with Finance: Responsible for preparing quarterly and annual tax reporting. Closely coordinate with the Finance team on tax accruals, deferred taxes, tax disclosures in the notes, and account reconciliations.
  • Internal tax advisory: Support internal departments (e.g., Finance, HR, Legal) on tax-related questions. Provide well-founded, practical recommendations.
  • Compliance with international reporting obligations: Contribute to the preparation of Country-by-Country reports, the implementation of Pillar 2 requirements, and transfer pricing documentation. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring tax framework: Continuously monitor and analyze tax law developments relevant to our business activities in Germany. Proactively evaluate potential impacts and derive appropriate measures.
  • Tax support for projects: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to assess the tax implications of strategic initiatives. Lead and participate in cross-functional special projects.
  • Ensuring an effective tax control system: Responsible for the tax correctness and control of the tax positions of our German entities. Further develop and oversee internal processes to ensure compliance with tax regulations.

Requirements

  • Education: University degree in Taxation and/or Accounting. Tax advisor qualification (Steuerberater) or CPA is a plus.
  • Professional experience: 5–10 years of relevant experience in the tax field, ideally in an international environment.
