About the role

  • Accounting and Tax Consultant managing bookkeeping and financial statements for AIF Capital Group's operational companies. Collaborating on liquidity management and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Independently handle the monthly VAT returns (USt.-Voranmeldungen) and the associated recapitulative statements (ZM) for the clients included under the group parent (Organträger).
  • Calculate and apply input VAT allocations using the applicable allocation rates for the purpose of input tax deduction (input VAT option rate).
  • Independently submit Z4 reports to the German Bundesbank as part of AWV reporting obligations.
  • Support the execution of liquidity and payment management.
  • Prepare documentation to be provided to the tax advisor for trade tax and corporate tax filings.
  • Additional responsibilities include preparing decision papers for management and participating in the further development of commercial and digital processes and structures in close coordination with the specialist departments.

Requirements

  • Degree in business administration with a focus on finance and accounting, controlling or taxation, or a comparable qualification, ideally supplemented by further training as a tax advisor.
  • Many years of demonstrable experience (at least 10 years) working with banks, insurance companies, tax authorities, tax advisors and auditors, or experience working in one of these areas.
  • Extensive professional experience in accounting and/or taxation, preferably in the financial, funds or real estate sectors.
  • Excellent knowledge of German commercial and tax law.
  • High self-initiative and entrepreneurial competence, combined with a pronounced hands-on mentality.
  • Analytical, process- and solution-oriented thinking and working style, plus enthusiasm for optimizations, challenges and teamwork.
  • Excellent skills in all MS Office applications and fluent German and English language skills.
