About the role
- Sustainability Manager driving sustainability projects in global procurement strategies. Responsible for achieving sustainability goals and collaborating with international teams for effective material supply chain management.
Responsibilities
- You implement exciting projects within the global procurement strategy that drive the transformation toward a more sustainable material supply.
- You take responsibility for implementing our sustainability goals in the supply chain and support the management team in developing and executing our sustainability strategy.
- You are responsible for implementing internal and external training.
- You integrate external sustainability requirements into our internal structures and processes.
- You support the creation, further development and implementation of company-wide standards.
- You work in international, cross-functional teams on forward-looking sustainability strategies.
- You develop sustainability KPIs for procurement and prepare corresponding meaningful reports.
- You develop our suppliers nationally and internationally with a focus on sustainable standards and practices.
- You actively engage in internal and external networks and represent procurement interests in relevant committees.
- You promote a culture of structured problem-solving and actively drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Successfully completed degree in Business, Industrial Engineering or a related field (ideally with a focus/specialization in sustainability and/or procurement).
- You have initial experience in a comparable role with a focus on sustainability.
- Deep understanding of the three sustainability dimensions: economic, environmental, and social.
- You have a proactive and curious working style.
- You challenge the status quo and identify potential areas for optimization.
- You are comfortable communicating across different hierarchical levels and enjoy working with national and international colleagues from various functions.
- Hands-on mentality with a strong drive to actively shape and advance change.
- Negotiation skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability and interest to quickly get up to speed on new topics, and confident communication in English complete your profile.
