About the role

  • Lead procurement of large-scale equipment and service, negotiating contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to achieve optimal value and quality
  • Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including sourcing, supplier qualification, RFQs/RFPs, expediting, and compliance
  • Establish and monitor KPIs (e.g., inventory turns, supplier performance, cost savings, on-time delivery) to drive continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with supplier partners; conduct audits, supplier performance reviews, and manage strategic supplier risk
  • Act as a key stakeholder in project delivery, coordinating procurement timelines with project schedules to ensure milestones are met
  • Implement best practices in supply chain processes, leveraging ERP systems and continuous improvement methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 7–10 years of relevant experience in supply chain, with a strong emphasis on procurement of major equipment and participation in project-based environments
  • Proven track record negotiating large contracts and managing supplier relationships
  • Strong knowledge of MS Project, advanced Excel and analytical tools
  • Direct experience supporting project managers on large capital projects
  • Ability to bridge procurement activities with project timelines and deliverables
  • Solid knowledge of project management practices (planning, scheduling, risk management, stakeholder coordination); PMP or Prince2 certification is an asset
  • Experience in capital-intensive industries (industrial manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, construction) is an asset.
