About the role
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Oversee quality control, ensuring deliverables meet internal and client standards.
- Coordinate across disciplines to maintain alignment on goals, deadlines, and design criteria.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients — ensuring timely, clear, and consistent communication.
- Support proposal development, including scope, design criteria, and schedule input.
- Lead project documentation efforts, maintaining organized and accurate project records.
- Manage change orders, RFIs, and submittals, ensuring project documentation reflects current status.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers, promoting collaboration and professional growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent field required.
- Proven experience managing substation or related engineering projects from design through delivery.
- Strong understanding of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and other drafting or project tools.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and project management software such as Ajera and Monday.com.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Direct project leadership experience in power delivery, substation, or utility design environments preferred.
- Experience overseeing cross-discipline coordination between civil, structural, electrical, and protection & control teams preferred.
- Familiarity with client-facing project management, including budgeting, billing, and schedule tracking preferred.
