About the role

  • Conduct structural analysis for delegated steel connection design projects
  • Design steel connections, miscellaneous steel, and erection engineering
  • Develop calculations and enhance efficiencies
  • Review steel shop drawings and prepare submissions
  • Collaborate with project managers, detailers, fabricators, and erectors

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering
  • Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering is a plus
  • PE certification
  • 5+ years of structural engineering experience
  • An advanced understanding of relevant building codes, materials, and standards
  • Enthusiasm and desire to succeed and develop technical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Software skills with any of the following: Ram Connection, RISA Connection, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, Trimble Connect and Revit
  • Attention to detail, logical problem-solving skills, and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Passion for steel design and growing professional knowledge and skills in steel construction
