Responsibilities
Development and implementation of procurement strategies: You are responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that meet the company's requirements and the specific needs of construction projects.
Supplier management: Establishing and maintaining relationships with existing and potential suppliers, including conducting supplier evaluations and audits.
Negotiations: Conducting negotiations with suppliers using the Harvard negotiation method to secure optimal terms regarding price, quality, delivery and service.
Market analysis: Performing market analyses and competitive monitoring to identify trends and developments early and incorporate them into procurement strategies.
Cost optimization: Identifying and implementing cost-reduction opportunities in the procurement of materials and services.
Project management: Supporting the planning and execution of construction projects by ensuring timely procurement and delivery of materials.
Risk management: Identifying and assessing supply chain risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
Requirements
Education: University degree in industrial engineering, civil engineering, business administration, or a comparable qualification.
Work experience: Several years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in construction or the building industry.
Expertise: Solid knowledge of supplier management and experience applying the Harvard negotiation method.
Analytical skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking with a high degree of problem-solving ability.
Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, and assertiveness.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams and to coordinate projects.
IT skills: Confident use of MS Office and, ideally, experience with ERP systems.
