About the role

  • Oversee preparation and review of state and local income/franchise tax returns, sales/use tax filings, and property tax filings.
  • Oversee outside tax compliance provider to ensure state tax returns are completed and filed on time.
  • Support ASC 740 reporting for state and local tax provisions, including deferred tax calculations and uncertain tax positions.
  • Manage and defend state tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Identify and lead SALT process improvement initiatives to optimize tax positions and reduce risk.
  • Manage tax technology solutions and software to streamline operations.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to tax staff.
  • Oversee reconciliation of tax accounts on the general ledger.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of job-related work experience
  • Strong proficiency in Excel
  • Master’s degree (preferred)
  • CPA certification (preferred)
  • Experience in Onesource Tax Provision, Hyperion Financial Management, Oracle and SAP (preferred)
