Responsibilities
- As a Staff Embedded Software Engineer within the Software and Digital Technologies Organization you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of the Software Factory - Forge program, developing the next generation of surface combat management.
- This includes design and architecture of software solutions with design for foreign military sales in mind.
- The system is scalable, based on microservice architecture, COTS hardware, and container based deployments.
- The successful candidate will be collaborative, open, transparent, and team oriented with strong communication and customer relationship skills.
- This position is contingent upon the ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance or the successful transfer of an Active DoD Interim/Secret clearance prior to start.
- This position is also contingent upon customer approval of the selected candidate.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of experience, master’s degree with 10 years of experience, Ph.D. with 8 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- A current active DoD Secret clearance.
- 8 years of experience with Modern Software Engineering Practices (C++, Java, Python)
- 8 years of experience with up-to-date software engineering practices, including: Containerization strategies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Microservices architecture and DevSecOps pipelines.
- Ability to design scalable, modular, and secure software solutions.
- 5 years of experience developing and executing software development roadmaps that meets program objectives.
- 5 years of experience in facilitating collaboration between hardware, software, and system security teams.
