Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of software components, REST API endpoints, and features for the Ansible Automation Platform
- Proactively utilize and experiment with AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Gemini
- Explore and implement new ways of automating day-to-day operations
- Actively participate in a team-first environment, mentoring other engineers and engaging in positive, constructive code reviews
- Contribute to an end-to-end (E2E) test suite and manage container builds to ensure quality and security
- Regularly engage in the team’s Agile processes, including planning, demos, and retrospectives
- Proactively provide updates in the issue tracking tool, Jira
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Software Engineering
- Proficiency in Python and experience with Django and Django Rest Framework (DRF)
- Strong experience working with Linux and a deep comfort with the command line
- Extensive experience with container management and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker/Podman
- Advanced knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, Tekton, or GitHub Actions
- Experience with Python testing frameworks like pytest for unit and integration testing
- A customer-centric mindset, driven by a desire to solve problems for our customers
- A growth mindset and an appetite for continuous learning
- A proven ability to work effectively across globally distributed teams
