About the role

  • Protect existing account base and increase revenue and profitability within the account.
  • Lead the development of ongoing account plans in collaboration with team members, considering marketing strategy and client business objectives.
  • Continuously maintain sustained sales activities within all accounts.
  • Prospect deep and wide within competitive accounts to provide Ricoh Canada services and solutions.
  • New business prospecting and development, including cold calling; schedule and conduct client introductions, face-to-face and/or video meetings.
  • Prepare presentations, demonstrations, proposals, and value propositions to assigned accounts.
  • Manage leads, pending orders and lease upgrades; develop action plans to progress each cycle.
  • Meet or exceed revenue and gross profit expectations.
  • Utilize sales database (Salesforce.com) to ensure daily updates on accounts in pipeline and maintain activity records.
  • Maintain knowledge of Managed Document Services (MDS) including software applications, managed services and equipment features/benefits.
  • Present Ricoh's IT and Communication Services alone or collaboratively with other sales specialists.
  • Attend training and workshops to increase product knowledge and stay abreast of products, services, and pricing.
  • Establish relationships with current and prospective customers using various selling techniques (Ricoh's 3D Sales Approach).

Requirements

  • College Diploma or University Degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years of direct B2B sales experience
  • Industry selling experience preferred
  • Negotiating skills with ability to handle objections
  • Experience nurturing ongoing business connections and building relationships
  • Organizational and project management skills; strong self-motivation
  • Strong analytical skills; experience preparing business proposals
  • Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Salesforce.com, Social Media Sales tools and MS Office
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required (and auto insurance coverage per Ricoh's policy)
  • Knowledge of Managed Document Services (MDS) value proposition
