About the role
- Software Developer enhancing domain ordering backend service at IONOS. Working in a hybrid setting with focus on backend services using Perl, Java, and Go.
Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and maintain Perl-based backend services for domain ordering;
- Integrate with third-party APIs (JSON/XML) for domain registration and management;
- Building new backend services in Java / GO;
- Design and optimize MySQL schemas, queries, and data workflows;
- Troubleshoot Linux service issues and ensure maximum system availability;
- Collaborate with teams to refine software methodologies and CI/CD practices;
- Document solutions and contribute to architectural decisions.
Requirements
- Perl expertise: Backend/systems development, CPAN module usage, and script optimization;
- Java or Go experience;
- At least 3 years of experience in backend development;
- Linux Proficiency: Command-line mastery, service deployment, and troubleshooting;
- Database Design: MySQL schema development and complex query tuning;
- APIs & Integrations: Experience with remote APIs (JSON/XML/REST);
- Version Control: Git;
- Core Skills: Fluent English, exceptional problem-solving, and knowledge of SDLC best practices.
