Responsibilities
Leading and mentoring a team of loan servicing professionals, including training, performance management, and conducting performance appraisals.
Developing and implementing procedures for loan servicing functions with our approved Subservicer, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in areas like payment processing, escrow management, and default servicing.
Ensuring all loan servicing activities adhere to federal, state, and investor regulations, as well as company policies.
Addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support related to loan accounts.
Overseeing escrow accounts, managing loan modifications, managing delinquencies, foreclosures, and loss mitigation, and ensuring accurate record-keeping of financial transactions.
Managing relationships with third-party vendors involved in loan servicing, such as attorneys and foreclosure specialists, ensuring compliance and performance.
Preparing reports on loan servicing activities, analyzing data, and identifying areas for improvement.
Investigating and resolving complex loan-related issues, including delinquencies and modifications.
Requirements
Ability to motivate, guide, and direct a team effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers, staff, and other stakeholders.
Familiarity with mortgage servicing software and systems, as well as general computer skills.
Understanding of financial concepts related to loan servicing, including escrow management and default servicing.
Ability to analyze complex situations, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
