Senior Tax Specialist advising on direct and indirect taxes for SEB Kort Group. Supporting tax compliance and strategic initiatives within the Finance team in Stockholm.
Responsibilities
Provide tax advice and support to SEB Kort Group
Monitor and access changes in tax legislation
Identify & drive areas that needs further investigations (both Sweden and International)
Drive and facilitate decision making regarding taxation matters
Act as key contact towards SEB Group Tax, tax authorities and other stakeholders
Work with tax accountants to ensure taxes are correctly reflected in the financial reporting and tax returns
Procure tax-related services, set scope and deliverables of studies coming from external advisors
Advise on tax considerations for legal reorganization and integration projects within SEB Kort Group
Requirements
Academic degree in relevant area such as Taxation, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a similar discipline.
10-15 years of hands-on experience with Finance or Taxes as an accountant, auditor, consultant, or related role in a large consulting firm or within a larger international group.
Minimum 5 years of experience within tax area with a financial institution as part of in-house tax department or as a consultant.
Deep understanding of accounting principles and consolidated reporting standards and their integration with taxes, competence to ‘read’ and analyze financial statements of a financial institution.
Extensive knowledge of tax regulations such as corporate income tax, indirect taxes and transfer pricing with primary focus on Swedish tax legislation.
Knowledge and experience in international tax matters is a major advantage for the role.
Experience in with legal structure changes and post-merger integration is a major advantage for the role.
Interest in driving tax related initiatives, navigate projects with various stakeholders and deal with complex strategic questions within tax.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in both Swedish and English.
