About the role

  • Assist with gathering information from clients, completing assignments and coordinating with preparers and managers
  • Monitor and report on assigned engagements' status and maintain open lines of communication with clients and supervisors regarding services
  • Set and attend appointments with clients and assemble information to prepare or arrange for the preparation of federal, state and local returns
  • Prepare and review federal, state and local tax returns and answer tax-related questions for clients together with managing tax personnel
  • Work diligently to resolve questions regarding the appropriate treatment of routine to moderately complex tax return matters
  • Maintain control of time and charges to produce accurate billing, and participate in pricing and billing client services
  • Work independently and produce a consistent amount of valuable work for our clients and colleagues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Licensed CPA or exam-eligible CPA-candidate strongly preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of recent tax return preparation or review experience required
  • CPA firm experience a strong plus
  • Proficient with QuickBooks (Desktop & Online) and Microsoft Office
