Responsibilities
Apply knowledge of legislation, case law, and IRD rulings to identify tax planning issues and ensure compliance.
Familiarity with tax lodgement programme and payment requirements.
Utilise understanding of financial statements for tax functions.
Prepare accurate client tax calculations and lodge tax returns in compliance with legal requirements.
Respond effectively to clients' queries, assist in problem-solving, and identify value-added opportunities.
Maintain client confidentiality and contribute to continuous improvement of systems and procedures.
Requirements
Are working towards a Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Economics, Law, or another relevant discipline, with a preference for those whose studies align to Chartered Accountancy or Law Professional Studies pathways (preferred but not essential).
