About the role
- Senior Systems Engineer troubleshooting and optimizing Windows environments at Fiserv. Responsible for managing systems and automating tasks across numerous data centers with global clients.
Responsibilities
- The SRE will troubleshoot operating systems, storage, networking and performance issues in a Complex Windows environment.
- Perform capacity management; add and reduce system resources such as memory, CPU, and disk.
- Install, uninstall and troubleshoot 3rd party software across several thousand systems programmatically.
- Write shell or python scripts to automate routine tasks.
- Responsible for a day-to-day support of the Windows environment in support of hosted Fiserv clients globally.
- Monitor system performance and take proactive corrective action to ensure maximum system availability is achieved.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Windows Infrastructure/System Engineering and Operations experience in heterogeneous environments.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Windows Domain\Active Directory, Failover Clustering, Perfmon, IIS, SSL Certificate, DNS, Group policy, VMware and vSphere management, Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019
- Familiar with Storage, Backup and networking technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience.
