About the role
- Senior Manager for Sustainability Performance & Insights at IHG, transforming ESG data into actionable strategies and insights for meaningful progress.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the measurement and management of IHG’s global carbon footprint across Scopes 1, 2 and 3
- Manage and evolve our global sustainability data platforms
- Handle large, complex datasets and develop intuitive dashboards that transform data into actionable insights for regions, functions, and leaders
- Leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to advance ESG analytics, forecasting, and performance reporting
- Create engaging, insight-led reports and presentations that inform and inspire senior stakeholders
- Ensure disclosures and metrics align with leading sustainability standards and investor expectations
- Work closely with colleagues across regions and functions, connecting insights to action and fostering a shared understanding of our sustainability journey
Requirements
- Strong experience in sustainability or ESG data analytics, carbon accounting, and reporting
- Familiarity with key frameworks such as GHG Protocol, CDP, CSRD, and TCFD
- Proven ability to design and manage sustainability data systems (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms)
- Experience using data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python to manage, interrogate, and validate large datasets
- Interest or experience in data science and machine learning applications for sustainability (e.g., forecasting energy use, modelling emissions, or integrating climate and weather data)
- Experience producing clear, insight-driven reports and presentations for senior audiences
- A proactive, self-sufficient mindset and drive for continuous improvement
- An innovative perspective on how technology and AI can accelerate sustainability progress
