Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of bridge projects, ensuring exceptional quality and customer satisfaction
- Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering a collaborative environment and maximizing team potential
- Perform complex engineering calculations, analyses, and designs, adhering to strict quality standards and industry best practices
- Prepare and review detailed engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and reports
- Provide technical expertise during construction, including review of contractor submissions and on-site support
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, such as budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
Requirements
- Post-graduate degree in Structural Engineering with a focus on bridge engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum 20 years of progressive bridge engineering experience encompassing inspection, analysis, load-rating, design, and construction
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario, Alberta, or British Columbia
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian bridge design codes and standards, including CSA S6
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and analysis software, such as CSI Bridge or MIDAS Civil
- Strong technical report writing, problem-solving, and communication skills
