About the role

  • Serve as the voice of the user to ensure products are usable and effective while supporting business goals.
  • Build on business insights and customer foundations to craft and conduct research to understand user needs, behaviours, pain points, and motivations.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to analyze and synthesize findings and identify product implications.
  • Craft journey maps, workflows, and other artifacts to articulate research insights and ground cross-functional conversations.
  • Maintain a laser focus on user needs, expectations and evolving markets to build and deliver quality solutions.
  • Be involved in all aspects of product development, working closely with product managers, developers, and other teams from ideation to launch.
  • Create simple, beautiful, and intuitive user experiences that delight users and add value to customers.
  • Observe customers interacting with existing solutions or prototypes to identify friction and usability issues.
  • Contribute to the overall architecture of the platform experience and product offerings.
  • Advocate for great product experiences across all teams, champion design tools and processes, and contribute to improving processes and team efficiency.

Requirements

  • You are an experienced designer with the ability to execute on all phases of the design process and pragmatically apply the right activities and practices based on project needs and constraints.
  • You think in terms of outcomes, research, exploration, learning, and constant iteration, and are great at thinking systemically and simplifying complexity.
  • You care about collaboration and ensuring healthy cross-functional collaboration.
  • You examine all processes critically and are always thinking of how to improve.
  • You are curious about the problems of the frontline workforce and have the grit and determination to solve them.
  • You are willing to adopt new practices and have experimented with and/or adopted practices for designing for and with AI.
  • You have a fine-tuned balance of accountability for results and customer and user empathy.
  • You are comfortable with the evolving needs of a scale-up that is making bold plays in the market to differentiate in frontline environments.
  • Experience with UX research and best practices; ability to craft journey maps, workflows, and research artifacts.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with Product Management and Development from ideation to launch.
