About the role

  • Own design strategy for your entire product while contributing to basic platform patterns that other teams can leverage.

Requirements

  • 4-7+ years of product design experience, with demonstrated ability to own design strategy for entire products or complex product areas.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strategic design thinking at scale, showing how you've shaped product direction, established design systems, and delivered measurable business impact across multiple quarters.
  • Proven experience leading design for entire products, not just features, with ability to balance multiple stakeholder needs and navigate competing priorities across teams.
  • Track record of platform-level thinking, contributing patterns and frameworks that scale beyond individual products while maintaining coherence across diverse use cases.
  • Excellence in design craft and systems thinking, with deep understanding of how to create scalable, maintainable design solutions that work across different contexts and user types.
  • Strong business acumen with ability to connect design decisions to metrics like engagement, retention, and revenue. You speak the language of business and can demonstrate ROI for design investments.
  • Experience navigating ambiguity and making independent decisions in complex, uncertain environments. You're comfortable defining direction when the path forward isn't clear.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including mentoring other designers, facilitating cross-functional workshops, and influencing without direct authority.
  • Expertise in modern design tools and workflows, particularly Figma, with ability to establish best practices for documentation, handoff, and collaboration at scale.
  • Deep knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices, ensuring your products work for all users regardless of ability.
