About the role

  • Shape the user experience and interface of Skylum's software products, primarily Luminar Mobile and related applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to create user-centric design solutions
  • Conduct user research to identify pain points and opportunities and translate findings into design solutions
  • Create intuitive, aesthetically pleasing, and functional user interfaces and ensure consistency across product elements
  • Develop interactive prototypes to communicate and test design concepts and iterate based on feedback
  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to validate design decisions
  • Produce comprehensive design specifications, style guides, and assets for development teams
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to gather input and ensure alignment
  • Keep up to date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies and proactively bring new ideas to the team

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience in product design, with a focus on user interface and user experience
  • Experience with mobile apps - must have
  • Experience of creating iOS, iPadOS, Android apps
  • Strong proficiency with Figma (design systems, advanced prototyping)
  • Solid understanding of Android Material Design and Apple Human Interface Guidelines (HIG)
  • Hands-on experience designing onboarding flows, subscription paywalls, upsell experiences, retention mechanics that directly impact activation and conversion
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks
  • Ability to collaborate with product managers and analysts to validate hypotheses
  • A well-rounded portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including UI/UX projects
  • Be prepared to discuss your design process and the impact of your work
  • Experience in conducting user research and usability testing is a plus
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of photography or image editing is a plus
  • English - intermediate or higher
