About the role

  • Product Analyst contributing to Cyber Data Analytics Squads at Fidelity, collaborating with engineers and architects to design analytical strategies for cyber controls.

Responsibilities

  • Joining forces with the squad lead, engineers, and architects to ensure business objectives become reality in the Data protection and Analytics space
  • Contributing to driving outstanding solutions on the Cyber Data Analytics Squads
  • Designing analytical and reporting strategies to enable oversight of cyber controls in partnership with the business.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a systems and/or business analyst
  • Additional experience in the cybersecurity or financial services industry would be beneficial
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent career experience in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Information Systems, or related field
  • Experience working with Data related tools like Snowflake, SQL developer and comparable query writing tools
  • Experience with Jira, Jira Align, or other comparable Agile tools is a plus
  • Experience in working with data analysis and strong SQL skills
  • Understands business needs and challenges including product strategy and customer success criteria
  • Experience in gathering requirements and translating them to well-defined stories with clear business value and acceptance criteria with a focus on user needs
  • Strong ability to conduct research and analysis independently, including growing ability to gather and apply data-driven insights, construct diagrams and visualizations, and document current and future state
  • Continually building domain expertise of team’s product(s) and processes with goal of becoming a domain expert on the team
  • Understands competing priorities and works with squad leader and team to drive successful product delivery
  • Champions and leads team to collaborate with partners and stakeholders to drive strong business outcomes
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills including participating in and leading sessions with team members, domain experts, and stakeholders
  • Proficient understanding of agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean principles
  • Creates and maintains documentation in collaboration with team members, domain experts, and team leader to guarantee accuracy and completeness
  • Demonstrates a continuous improvement mentality with a focus on building business analysis and product ownership expertise.
