Responsibilities

• The Senior PHP Developer will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing various services and third-party integrations.
• Functioning as a full-stack developer with expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies.
• Understand the objectives of the team and develop software to help achieve this.
• Contribute to a culture of technical excellence that delivers robust, efficient, secure and maintainable software.
• Engage with a progressive and transparent culture of learning and development.
• Be a strong collaborator, willing to share opinions in discussions and to listen to the opinions of others.
• Line manage and lead other developers within the team.
• Lead meetings, and define and plan work items for the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience collaborating effectively within a team environment, demonstrating both individual accountability and appreciation for collective input.
• Hands-on experience in developing and delivering enterprise-level software solutions.
• Commercial experience with Object-Oriented PHP and modern best practices.
• Experience using Laravel for back-end development and API design.
• Experience of using front-end frameworks such as React and Vite, as well using Blade templates.
• Experience of working in highly scalable, high performance platforms, ideally in financial trading or fintech (Iress, CQG, MT4/MT5 experience a plus).
• Experience of both relational and document DBs.
• Experience with Docker and deployments to Kubernetes / AWS EKS.
• Experience of using services provided by AWS.
• Knowledge of cloud native CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong awareness of micro services and event based architecture.
• Familiar with LEAN product development.
• Good attention to detail.
