About the role

• Senior IT Strategy Consultant driving mainframe modernization and infrastructure solutions at Kyndryl. Delivering value through expertise in technology and consulting techniques combined with cognitive approaches.

Responsibilities

• Delivering value to customers and Kyndryl by applying deep mainframe application & infrastructure expertise and industry experience
• Establishing milestones, setting quality targets, and managing the work of others
• Communicating complex technical insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Guiding customers in their strategy for mainframe optimization and modernization, on or off the mainframe platform
• Data integration and AI projects for mainframe
• Analyzing the customer's current state, defining IT Strategy including key outcomes, designing conceptual solutions, planning and executing design and implementation work (with support from technical specialists), and accounting for time, cost, and quality targets.
• Developing IP and owning specific assets, tools, and white papers articulating point of views in a specific domain.
• Assembling and leading a team of consultants and architects, and facilitating and capturing lessons learned from engagements to update methodologies and assets.
• Spearheading comprehensive modernization programs encompassing people, culture, process, and technology.

Requirements

• 12+ years Mainframe experience with at least 1 full Mainframe Modernization project
• Proven track record in IT Consulting or IT Management Consulting with delivery and business development success and growth
• Experience building relationships with senior C-level and IT executives; creating referenceable customers
• Ability to lead with a consultative approach to identify and create demand cross all of Kyndryl capabilities.
• Work in tandem with the Customer Partner on the account. Leads and drives deals to closure through consultative approach and personal eminence.
• Experience with end-to-end engagement from identification, solutioning, closure and delivery as well as personally being billable on customer engagements
• Proven creation, definition and development of Consult patterns and subsequent presentations for Mainframe Modernization
• Fluent in both German and English, verbally and written.
