About the role
- Senior Manager, Tax responsible for assisting in European tax planning and implementation. Leading tax research and managing external tax advisors at Equinix.
Responsibilities
- Assists in tax planning for business transactions, M&A and real estate transactions, including integration
- Identifies and solves tax issues related to on-going routine business activities to improve tax efficiency of the Company
- Leads technical tax research and manages external tax advisors in EMEA
- Monitors and helps mitigates overall tax risks of the Region, including direct tax and indirect taxes
- Provides technical tax research and support for filing of tax returns of the Region
- Provides technical tax research and support for tax examinations within the Region
- Provides technical tax research and support for the Company’s transfer pricing, commissionaire structure and REIT matters in EMEA
- Works with outside consultants pertaining to complex and significant tax issues
- Provides technical tax research and support for tax provision process for local financial statement reporting purposes
- Develops and maintains relationships with business partners in EMEA
Requirements
- Proven years plus working experience with BIG 4 and/or corporate tax department
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- CPA/Chartered Accountant/Equivalent certification preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
