About the role
- Senior Risk Manager at Capital One overseeing risk management for Premium Products and Experiences. Collaborating with business partners to ensure stability and profitability through product development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Advise and consult with business teams and other key stakeholders to help develop well-designed products, processes, and supporting technologies and implement risk management practices; support our business partners to drive the risk/return trade-off decisions
- Lead risk framework discussions and drive creative solutions to improve the risk profile
- Lead ad-hoc projects to improve processes or control environment to mitigate risks (e.g. execution errors)
- Analyze data to proactively identify risks and trends
- Stay abreast of the changing regulatory environment and understand the impacts to the business areas that you support
- Set and deliver on our well-managed agenda
- Support, partner and interact with internal business clients
- Set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teams
Requirements
- At least 4 years of Financial Services experience
- At least 4 years of Risk Management experience
- At least 4 years of Project Management experience
- At least 4 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients
- 6+ years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk (preferred)
- 6+ years of Financial Services risk management experience (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience in Analysis (preferred)
- 3+ years of people management experience (preferred)
- 2+ years of Agile or Design experience (preferred)
- Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) (preferred)
- Lean, Agile, Six Sigma or Business Process Management (preferred)
- PMP Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM) (preferred)
