Responsibilities
Drive the product engineering operational strategy for assigned product categories, ensuring smooth development from concept to production.
Translate the overall product roadmap into short to mid-term operational plans for the team.
Lead large, multi-team projects to reduce costs, simplify designs, and implement product recommendations.
Manage incoming customer-related product feedback from Salesforce and commercial teams.
Partner with senior leaders across functions to communicate overall product engineering goals.
Generate and approve technical documentation, procedures, and reports.
Provide strong leadership and direction to managers and senior contributors.
Drive and support the management of the department budget.
Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration.
Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering field.
Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering field (preferred).
10+ years of experience in product engineering, including 5+ years of leadership experience.
Expert knowledge of S&C's products, or similar product offerings, along with the needs and trends of the industry.
Comprehensive knowledge of product lifecycles, manufacturing processes, and industry trends within electrical manufacturing.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead projects and product implementations that span multiple teams.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team of engineers.
Knowledge of safety standards and regulations relevant to electrical systems and protection equipment.
Great business sense and analytical skills with the ability to use and analyze data to drive informed decisions, solve complex problems, and drive learning.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and presentation);
Fantastic interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect, navigate and resolve conflict, moderate behaviors, and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience.
Sound financial acumen and numerical ability to manage budgetary resources to maximum effectiveness.
