About the role

  • Full-Stack Software Engineer at GovWell building AI-powered solutions for government services. Working across the stack to deliver features that improve public service efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and ship full-stack features across GovWell’s platform.
  • Collaborate closely with teammates to translate customer needs into usable, high-impact product functionality.
  • Take ownership of product areas end-to-end, ensuring features are reliable, maintainable, and performant in real-world government environments.
  • Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews, and best practices that strengthen the team’s engineering culture and velocity.
  • Use customer feedback and product data to iterate quickly, improving both resident experiences and government efficiency.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of full-stack development experience building applications for enterprises and/or consumers.
  • Strong preference for candidates who have worked in high-growth startup environments.
  • Excited about building applications with the latest AI models and leveraging AI to enhance personal developer workflows.
  • Experience owning large product areas + features end-to-end.
  • Strong product mindset: love to ask questions and deeply understand customer problems.
  • Prefer challenging adventure than “rest and vest.”
