About the role

  • Build, maintain, and improve detailed financial models to support strategic and operational decision-making
  • Lead the annual budget process and recurring forecasting cycles
  • Provide variance analysis and performance tracking against key metrics
  • Support long range financial planning, capital planning, and cash flow projections in collaboration with the Controller
  • Collaborate closely with functional and business leaders to understand drivers, risks, and opportunities
  • Deliver clear financial insights that influence strategy and resource allocation
  • Act as a liaison between finance and operations to ensure alignment on goals
  • Provide scenario planning, profitability analysis, and ROI assessments for new product lines, market expansions, and strategic initiatives
  • Develop and refine dashboards, KPIs, and reporting packages for executives and stakeholders, tailored to a distribution business
  • Present financial results and forward-looking analyses to the CFO and leadership team
  • Drive process improvements and automation in planning and reporting
  • Mentor and develop junior financial analysts as the team grows

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or investment banking with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Experience in distribution, wholesale, or life sciences industry highly desirable
  • Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills; proficiency with ERP and BI/reporting tools required
  • Proven experience leading budgeting and forecasting processes in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear, actionable way
  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated success partnering with senior leaders
  • Experience managing or mentoring analysts preferred
