Senior Manager leading continuous improvement strategies at PANTHERx Rare Pharmacy, a national rare disease pharmacy. Developing and executing improvement initiatives with a small team for health outcomes.
Responsibilities
Develops and executes the overall continuous improvement strategy aligned with organizational goals.
Fosters a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and operational excellence across all teams.
Identifies where immediate fixes are sufficient vs. where deeper root cause remediation is required.
Leads, coaches, and develops a team of 2–3 continuous improvement professionals.
Provides mentorship in structured problem-solving tools and methods.
Sets priorities, tracks progress and measures the impact of improvement efforts.
Partners with Clinical, Quality, IT, Operations, and Program Management to align priorities.
Facilitates structured problem-solving workshops and Kaizen events.
Ensures learning from issues are shared and implemented across the organization to prevent recurrence.
Applies Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA, and root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams).
Analyzes and interpret data to identify trends, evaluate solutions, and measure impact.
Utilizes reporting tools (Excel, BI dashboards, etc.) to track progress and communicate outcomes.
Develops and delivers regular updates to leadership on progress, value creation, and emerging risks.
Escalates issues as needed and recommends solutions that balance speed, sustainability, and value.
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, or related roles.
Prior healthcare, pharmacy, or highly regulated industry experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional improvement efforts that delivered measurable results.
Strong familiarity with or certification in Lean Six Sigma methodologies; Green or Black Belt certification preferred.
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to challenge assumptions constructively.
Excellent facilitation, coaching, and change management skills.
Proven ability to manage direct reports and foster a high-performance team environment.
Skilled in project/program management with a track record of driving initiatives to closure.
