About the role

  • Lead Compensation and Benefits in India with primary support to Disney’s Technology Center in Bangalore
  • Provide consultative support for Mumbai and Bangalore Technology Center: day-to-day compensation evaluation, administration, and communication
  • Conduct periodic market analysis/benchmarking and ad hoc analyses
  • Lead annual compensation planning (merit, bonus, long-term incentives)
  • Ensure legislative/regulatory compliance and monitor Indian benefits regulations
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and global/regional C&B teams on program design, implementation, execution, and communication
  • Research market trends and best practices and identify relevance for assigned clients
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to continually improve compensation and benefits processes
  • Oversee local benefits strategy and execution for India and align with regional/global benefits policies
  • Collaborate with Regional Benefits team to implement and localize programs such as health & risk insurance, wellness, and retirement plans
  • Participate in regional benchmarking and benefits optimization initiatives
  • Report to the Executive Director, Total Rewards APAC and work closely with US and APAC compensation teams

Requirements

  • 10+ years of compensation and benefits experience within the Indian market
  • Proven experience operating in a highly matrixed organization with multinational companies
  • Knowledge of compensation program concepts and practices
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a commitment to accuracy
  • Strong sense of teamwork, conflict resolution skills and relationship builder
  • Proven consulting skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills
  • Ability to understand and relate to multiple stakeholders (e.g., finance, legal, operations)
  • Business-oriented mindset; ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Access and Cognos; familiarity with SAP and Workday a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree highly regarded (or equivalent experience gained within an international, matrixed organization)
