About the role

  • Senior Indirect Tax Analyst at Chemours responsible for managing sales & use tax and property tax duties. Collaborating with internal teams and supporting process improvement initiatives in a hybrid setting.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing monthly sales & use tax accruals and account reconciliations
  • Gathering property tax and sale & use data for preparation of the returns by third-party consultants
  • Assisting with sales & use and property tax audit information and document requests
  • Performing tax research related to use tax and property taxes
  • Collaborating with other internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy of data with respect to indirect taxes
  • Supporting tax department initiatives, including process improvement projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 1+ years tax experience in sales, use and property taxes
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP and OneSource Tax Determination preferred
  • Experience leveraging technology (Alteryx, PowerBI) to develop innovative solutions within a tax environment preferred
  • Experience with fixed asset and state apportionment processes associated with income tax returns preferred
