Responsibilities
Provide professional HR advice to assigned business groups, applying best practices and current trends and ensuring HR management decisions and practices comply with legislation as well as company rules and values
Participate in management committees for assigned groups and stay continuously informed of HR management issues
Conduct analyses and recommend strategies and potential solutions for a variety of HR management challenges
Carry out investigations and support managers in handling conflicts and other employee relations issues
Strong interest and experience in labour relations
Lead and/or participate in strategic national projects and in the rollout of corporate programs and sector initiatives
Respond to complex HR management questions
Develop tools and deliver roundtables, training workshops and information sessions for employees and/or managers
Collaborate with managers on succession planning, talent identification and talent development
Contribute to improving HR processes and work with members of the National Compensation HR team on various mandates
Provide compensation recommendations based on best practices
Conduct needs analyses and support managers in job evaluation, job classification and workforce planning.
Requirements
University degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources Management or a combination of education and relevant experience
Membership in the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (or an equivalent professional HR designation) is an asset
Minimum of 6 to 8 years' experience as an HR business partner in a similar work environment
Comfortable operating in a multi-site, matrixed organization and in a constantly evolving environment
Strong communication skills, high influence capability and ease in building relationships at all organizational levels
Strong planning and project management skills, attention to detail, analytical and synthesis abilities
Pragmatic and strategic thinking to resolve operational and/or highly complex issues
Solid knowledge across all HR areas including performance and labour relations management, disability management, change management, engagement, compensation, organizational development and talent management
Bilingual in French and English is required due to regular interaction with colleagues across the country.
