Provide strategic medical affairs enterprise leadership for the RSV vaccine across Global Therapeutic Areas, accountable to the Global Medical Lead (GML).
Set and deliver long-term disease and medicine strategy for RSV, integrating scientific, clinical, and market insights and shaping product positioning and data generation strategies.
Act as primary interface with senior leaders and external stakeholders (experts, advocacy groups, regulators, payors) to shape disease understanding and treatment paradigms.
Collaborate with Local Operating Company teams to understand landscape needs and deliverables; lead and execute Global Medical Operational Planning for RSV on time and on budget.
Ensure team training and governance, advise on claims and material review, manage product-related issues and patient safety risk mitigation.
Oversee evidence generation across R&D, RWE & HO Research, approve Phase 3b/4 and Value Evidence and Outcomes studies and review investigator-sponsored study proposals.
Partner on scientific communications and engagement, define key scientific messages, oversee publications and congress materials, and approve promotional and non-promotional materials.
Lead cross-functional initiatives, mentor junior medical affairs professionals, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation within global medical affairs.
Requirements
MD/MBBS/PharmD or PhD (Essential).
Experience in Medical Affairs, including roles in LOC and Global teams.
Experience in pre/peri-launch and life cycle management phases of assets.
Experience of regulatory and clinical development strategies across early and late stages.
Experience of presenting or speaking at conferences and congresses.
Experience of managing multiple projects, budgets, and interactions simultaneously.
Experience in Scientific Communication, Evidence Generation and Omnichannel strategies.
Previous clinical or scientific experience in vaccines, clinical development, RWE, and public health (Preferred).
Robust understanding of internal and external codes of practice and regulations (Preferred).
Demonstrated matrix leadership with the ability to build strong networks and manage complexity (Preferred).
Experience in medical support for regulatory interactions and payor dossiers (Preferred).
General understanding of statistics, safety, and regulatory requirements (Preferred).
Evidence of innovative digital and AI leadership within prior medical roles (Preferred).
