About the role
- Responsible for the administration of physical and/or behavioral health medical services
- Ensure appropriate and cost-effective medical care
- Develop and implement programs to improve quality, cost, and outcomes
- Provide clinical consultation and serve as clinical/strategic advisor
- Identify cost of care opportunities
- Serve as a resource to staff including Medical Director Associates
- Responsible for an entire clinical program
Requirements
- Requires MD or DO
- Board certification approved by ABMS or AOA
- Must possess an active unrestricted medical license
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience
- Clinical experience working in internal medicine or family practice strongly preferred
- Experience working in managed care strongly preferred
