About the role

  • Responsible for the administration of physical and/or behavioral health medical services
  • Ensure appropriate and cost-effective medical care
  • Develop and implement programs to improve quality, cost, and outcomes
  • Provide clinical consultation and serve as clinical/strategic advisor
  • Identify cost of care opportunities
  • Serve as a resource to staff including Medical Director Associates
  • Responsible for an entire clinical program

Requirements

  • Requires MD or DO
  • Board certification approved by ABMS or AOA
  • Must possess an active unrestricted medical license
  • Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience
  • Clinical experience working in internal medicine or family practice strongly preferred
  • Experience working in managed care strongly preferred
