Finance Manager overseeing financial analysis and reporting at Elevance Health. Responsible for cost and budget management within the Government Business Division.
About the role
- Manage end-to-end financial deliverables: forecasting, reporting, and analysis for Legal and Compliance partners; meet deadlines for annual budget and monthly planning.
- Uncover actionable insights by proactively diving into financial and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
- Serve as a key financial partner: build strong relationships with Legal and Compliance partners and present analysis during business reviews with clear recommendations.
- Ensure financial accuracy: own the month-end close process for areas, conduct detailed variance analysis, and work with Accounting to maintain integrity of financial data.
- Build and own financial models that drive analysis into financial risks and opportunities.
- Contribute to FP&A functions: annual operating plan, rolling forecasts, and in-depth business reviews to drive efficiency and informed trade-offs.
Requirements
- 4-8+ years of relevant experience managing OpEx in corporate finance, FP&A, strategic finance, or a related analytical field with strong financial modeling skills.
- Proactive and Curious Mindset: self-starter with a strong work ethic, not afraid to dig deep into data and ask challenging questions.
- Meticulous Attention to Detail: highly organized, committed to accuracy, delivering precise and reliable work.
- Strong Collaborative Skills: excellent teammate who can build positive relationships and communicate effectively with partners across the organization.
- A forward-thinking mindset with a demonstrated ability to identify and address process inefficiencies including leveraging automation or AI.
- Nice to Haves: Experience in a high-growth tech environment, FinTech, or financial services.
- Nice to Haves: Proficiency with financial software (e.g., Anaplan, NetSuite) and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
- Nice to Haves: SQL skills for querying and analyzing large datasets.
- Nice to Haves: Familiarity with Compliance, or Legal functions.
