About the role

  • Responsibility for DevSys & Ops topics and technical leadership of the team (1 Technical Architect, 1 System Administrator)
  • Design, implementation and operation of monitoring & oversight of production IT systems and their services
  • Implementation and monitoring of compliance with current security standards for software and IT systems used in the business unit
  • Further development and creation of new CI/CD processes for development and IT infrastructure
  • Capacity and implementation planning to evolve the solution or to realize strategic objectives and/or projects affecting the solution
  • Monitoring and controlling planned schedule and resource data throughout the implementation period
  • Participation in and contribution to the company's strategic development
  • Technical point of contact for the Technical Architect/DevOps and the System Administrator
  • Collaboration with other technical leads to implement strategic objectives and projects
  • Regular communication with key internal and external stakeholders to provide transparency on progress and potential risks
  • In this context: identification and implementation of security requirements in cooperation with IT security officers
  • Creation of technical tickets and maintenance of technical documentation for developed features and architectures
  • Additionally, you are a member of the ISMS, Data Protection & Certifications committee

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification with several years of professional experience
  • Several years of experience in system architecture and DevOps
  • Solid experience administering Linux-based web servers (LEMP stack)
  • Solid experience administering mail servers/MTAs (e.g., Microsoft Exchange)
  • Strong knowledge of monitoring and observability
  • Strong knowledge of cloud provider technologies and their APIs (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Hetzner Cloud) and infrastructure management
  • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins)
  • Deep experience in provisioning and orchestrating systems and services using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Advantageous: solid experience in software development and scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript, TypeScript)
  • Knowledge of security requirements and best practices for scalable and secure architectures (SecOps)
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Knowledge of project and requirements management
