About the role
- Senior Engineer designing and building CI/CD platforms for GEICO. Engaging in cross-functional collaboration and delivering on Agile methodologies within a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Designs and builds highly efficient and comprehensive CI/CD platforms across Business Services and Infrastructure Engineering
- Engages in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle
- Leads design sessions and topology reviews to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization
- Executes CI/CD Infrastructure and Software delivery utilizing an Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe)
- Supports migration efforts from Azure PaaS/IaaS services to Kubernetes (AKS)
- Balances delivery of multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously
- Mentors and supports engineers at all junior levels
- Provides excellent 24x7 production support on an on-call rotational basis
- Adheres to the Code of Conduct, company policies, and operating principles
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field
- 3+ years of engineering experience with Infrastructure/Middleware or DevOps
- 3+ years of experience in Cloud DevOps and Cloud Architecture in Azure environments
- 3+ years of experience working with web servers and application servers
- 3+ years of configuration management experience
- 2+ years of experience working with monitoring tools
- 2+ years of experience with MuleSoft or similar Integration software
- Experience with Change Management processes is a must
- Prior experience with tools like Helix (BMC) and Service Now is a plus
