Responsibilities
Performing the day-to-day operations of the data center, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
Collaborate with data center staff, including technicians, engineers, and facilities personnel.
Implement and maintain operational policies and procedures to ensure reliability and efficiency.
Ensure the proper functioning of all data center systems, including servers, networking, cooling, power, PDU and other critical infrastructure.
Monitor and manage capacity planning to ensure data center resources meet current and future demand.
Collaborate with vendors for hardware and software installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
Install, configure, and maintain servers, network equipment, and other hardware components.
Perform routine hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Enforce physical and cybersecurity protocols to protect data center resources.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO, PCI-DSS, GDPR, etc.) and legal requirements.
Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising performance or security.
Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors, including service providers and equipment manufacturers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
4 – 6.6 years of Experience in managing datacenter operations and related Infrastructure
Proven knowledge and skills on managing data center hardware installation/customization and troubleshooting related issues
Expert knowledge on trouble shooting Datacenter related issues – Cabling, Power, Server and patch panels, Racks and Cable Mapping and network (LAN/WAN/Switches/Routers)
Good understanding of HVAC technologies and systems, Knowledge on PDU configuration
Excellent skills on ITSM practices (incident, Problem and change management).
Good understanding of Agile methodologies
Demonstrated reasoning and troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues.
Skilled in vendor management, and strategic partnerships to maximize infrastructure investments.
Familiarity with Security best practices and compliance requirement
Strong customer service orientation, with experience in customer relationship management.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to executives and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to articulate complex technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, across all organizational levels.
