About the role

• Senior Consultant managing Medicaid policy initiatives and implementing HCBS projects for state Medicaid agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more client policy initiative(s) with a team that will engage in activities such as policy analysis and recommendations, facilitating client meetings, action item and decision management, deliverable development, and project progress tracking and reporting.
• Drive your development through an annual process that supports your growth goal in partnership with your supervisor and BerryDunn’s learning and development team.
• Participate in new business development through activities such as research, supporting proposal content, or developing marketing materials.

Requirements

• Seven years of relevant experience, including three or more years working for a state Medicaid agency supporting policy initiatives or as a consultant to a state Medicaid agency.
• Direct experience with Medicaid authorities such as state plan services, HCBS waivers, Medicaid program implementation, as well as federal compliance and reporting.
• Experience analyzing regulations and sub-regulatory guidance to inform the direction of the Medicaid program along with managing projects and initiatives to implement program changes to comply with the regulation.
• Experience managing workplans, timelines, and projects including deliverables, operational and administrative tasks, risk, and client communication.
• Preferred: Experience developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
• Preferred: Experience conducting training sessions for staff and interested parties on HCBS policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Preferred: CMS Waiver Management System (WMS), Medicaid Model Data Lab (MMDL), and MACPro portals.
