About the role
- Cloud Network Engineer supporting global network infrastructure while monitoring performance and troubleshooting incidents. Collaborating on technical projects and documentation with IT Infrastructure team.
Responsibilities
- Have the responsibility for day-to-day support and advancement of our global network infrastructure
- Monitor network utilization and performance
- Troubleshoot and escalate appropriately upon network incidents
- Document technical engineering procedures for use by other members of the IT Infrastructure team
- Contribute to roadmap, architectural direction, and continuous improvement
- Communicate proactively about opportunities, expectations, timelines, risks, and issues
- Perform knowledge transfer to other members of the IT Infrastructure Team
- Assist in vendor negotiations and the RFP/RFI process
- Act as a resource for others at peer or above level; may lead projects with limited risks and resource requirements
- Solve complex problems by taking a new perspective on developing solutions
Requirements
- BE or BTech degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent industry experience
- Classic Network Engineering experience
- Understanding of Cisco Nexus data center switching and Cisco Catalyst switching concepts
- Understanding, deployment, and troubleshooting experience with BGP and OSPF routing protocols
- Cloud networking experience
- Understanding of fundamental networking concepts in Azure as well as relevant experience
- Understanding of fundamental networking concepts in AWS as well as relevant experience
- Infrastructure as code experience
- Experience with Git and GitHub
- Experience with Linux shell and Python
- Experience with Ansible and Terraform
- Able to work well under pressure, multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Exceptional ability and solid desire to learn new skills
- Holding Azure or AWS network certification (beneficial)
- Holding Linux certification (beneficial)
- Holding CCNA or CCNP certification (beneficial)
